1970 Dodge Coronet

1970 Dodge Coronet

The 1970 Coronet had a very polarizing effect on people – it had a very “love it or hate it” face. The designers at Chrysler were bold and used scowling eyebrow features in the grille. Unfortunately this face was used for only one year and a brought the Coronet back to a more conservative grille for 1971. The most most remembered 1970 Coronet model was the Super Bee – the highest performance package available. This car is not a Super Bee, but rather a Deluxe model complete with poverty caps.

This sketch was done with pencil, Copic yellows, grays, and purple. I also used a Faber Castell ink pen and Posca white paint marker.
