Recent Chicken Scratch

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted what I’ve been working on, so here are couple chicken scratch drawings. I’ve been working on loosening up my sketches lately and working with just ink pen. Here are a few recents. This is a 1949 Chevy Fleetline fastback gasser. I’ve really been into older hot rods and drag…

1949 Chevy Gasser

It’s no question that gassers are my favorite. I just love the attitude. The 1955 is hands down my favorite – it’s iconic, and was featured in Two Lane Blacktop, one of my favorite movies from my childhood. As Iconic as the ’55 is, the years preceding it were pretty classic, too. This one in…

This 1940 Ford was first sketched out on toned tan paper with pencil, then filled in with copic grays. Charcoal white was used for outlining and the whitewalls. Finally, Micron pen was used for details.

November Doodles

I’ve been working on some rough doodles that I think have turned out pretty cool. Here are a few from the past week. This is an old Kaiser that’s been lifted in the front – kind of a gasser-lowrider hybrid. This is my 1954 Plymouth Belvedere from college. It’s lined in pencil only, no ink.…

Inktober 2019, Month in Review

This was my first Inktober, and it was certainly full of ups and downs (mostly ups). I was excited to start as we were just entering October, and I had a lot of fun all month long but it had me pretty worn down by the end. The whole point of Inktober is to challenge…

Inktober Final Week

It’s been a long month of sketching and finally it’s over. Here are the final submissions for Inktober 2019: Day 28 – “Ride” “Ride” could really be anything, and I had wanted to draw a fox body for awhile. Here’s a 1988 Mustang GT. Day 29 – “Injured” I actually missed this one and didn’t…
