Harry Potter Drawings
At our house, we’re pretty big Harry Potter fans. The story telling and fantasy world building are just really fun. To celebrate the franchise, I made a few Harry Potter drawings on book pages.
These Harry Potter drawings are unique and special for fans of the franchise. The first drawing I made was the Deathly Hallows symbol, drawn on a page from the book. I used white as the primary color which was a departure from most commonly seen Deathly Hallows symbols – usually they’re black. For the line representing the Elder wand, I detailed the actual wand to give some texture to the drawing.
I used Micron pen for the outline and white charcoal pencil for the body.
Finally, I framed the drawing in 8×10. I think the white mat compliments the white body of the drawing.
Next, I drew the Golden Snitch on the page where Scrimgeour gives Harry the snitch he caught from the reading of Dumbledore’s will. I really love this one – The golden reflection of the drawing outlined by Posca white really pops off the page.
Finally, I framed this drawing in 8×10, with a white mat.
Next, I drew the Knight Bus from the Prisoner of Azkaban. This drawing is most similar to my typical style since it’s the only vehicle.
The Knight Bus was famous for its disproportioned height and ability to shrink to fit into tight places. I drew this image of the bus on one of the pages where Harry escapes from the Dursley’s on the bus. I like how the chapter heading nicely titles the drawing.
This drawing, too, was framed and matted in 8×10. These three drawings were Christmas gifts for my sister in law.
My final Harry Potter drawing was this motif sketch featuring the lightning bolt and Harry’s glasses. I drew this sketch on a page from the chapter when Harry’s friends transfigure into copies of Harry in order to keep him disguised for transport.
I framed this drawing in 8×10 as well, and this one sold at a show last year.
