1941 Ford Kustom
I’ve been in a slump this week, really not in the mood to draw. Maybe it’s the rain. Anyway, sometimes you just have to start and often you’ll find that you’ll get in the groove as you go. I did just that with this 1941 Ford Kustom.
I found a picture of this 1941 Ford Kustom car on the H.A.M.B. this week and thought it was cool because it’s a different perspective from what I’m used to drawing. Like I said, I really wasn’t feeling like it all week, so I just started with a very rough pencil sketch.
From there, I just inked it with Micron pen, no markers. Sometimes, simplicity is more elegant. Rather than using markers for shading, solid black pen is used to create the light and dark tones. It gives a bit of a vintage hot rodding vibe to the style. It’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
