Ford Coupe – New Wide Markers

I recently picked up some Copic Wide cool gray makers that I thought would be cool for doing some background stuff. Here’s my first shot, on an old Ford Coupe, similar to what you might find at The Race of Gentlemen.

Here’s the rough sketch, just using pencil on printer paper.

Then moving to line work using Micron 01. After the line works, I made the Copic Wide strokes, followed by darker tones in the car itself.

I think it turned out pretty cool! It’s something different and gives a little bit of a funky artsy flare! Be sure to check the gallery for the latest sketches!
