Cougar Drag Car

I saw this sweet Cougar in an old Hot Rod Magazine from 2011 that featured Mercury race cars in an article right after Ford closed Mercury down.

I started this one off as a very rough pencil sketch, and rather than re-lining the drawing with ink, I just went straight off to markers.

I used a few Micron pens and a fine tip Sharpie to finish it off, but it’s pretty messy. It’s not as clean as some of the other more recent sketches I’ve done, but I think it turned out ok.
