International Women’s Day Nash
Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and in celebration of all the awesome women, I thought I’d sketch this Nash Rambler.

Much of the design work of this cool little car is attributed to Helene Rother, the first woman automotive designer. She was a refugee from Nazi-occupied France during WWII, and started her career in America working for Marvel (sweet!). She passed in 1999. She was a pretty cool lady.

My Nash is a little bit hot rodded. It’s chopped and dropped on red steelies.
Here are the photos of the rough sketch in pencil and the initial line work in 01 Micron pen. I finished it off with Copic marker grays for the body, tan for the greenhouse, and left it white on the roof. I went thick on the outlining border and the reinforced it with a red pen outline on top. I’ve always thought these were slick and unique cars. Would make a fun build….
