Quick FJ Cruiser Doodle
I love the FJ cruiser – it’s quirky but in a rugged tough way. Here’s a quick Friday night doodle.

All done in blue gel pen on printer paper. I start using light pressure to get the proportions and construction lines right. Then hatching. Finally, I use heavy pressure to get the atmosphere and outlines.

Rendering comes next – I left the roof white and made the body porto-john blue. I thought it needed an extra pop so I re-lined the main portions with black 1.5 Faber Castell marker and outlined the whole car with red pen.
I dig it, but I think I actually like the pen sketch best. Which do you like better?
