1989 Firebird Formula

My friend Joe owns this red 1989 Firebird Formula.

The car is an original 305 car with a 5-speed manual transmission and is a lot of fun to drive.

This drawing started with a rough pencil sketch, followed by Copic marker fill. I really kind of dig the way the drawing looks before the linework with just the markers – kind of like a digital screenprinting.

It’s finished with Micron pen linework, including some shading hatch work with 005. Some of the shiny bits are highlighted with white charcoal pencil.
