1970 Trans Am Marker Drawing
This 1970 T/A drawing is a commission piece, drawn in front of the owner’s house.
The house is actually my favorite part of the piece – the brick work alone took about two hours but really paid off.
The drawing was started with #2 pencil, roughed in:
Then the house was filled in with Copic cool grays and skin tones for the bricks.
From there, I moved on to the detail portions of the car – the wheels, grille detail and lights. I added a little sky blue into the dishes of the wheels.
I finished the car’s paint off with three shades of deep blue. The grass was drawn in starting with E00 light skin tone followed by two shades of green. Ink work was completed using a variety of Micron thicknesses, and shiny details using Posca white.
Finally, the drawing was framed in 11×14 with matte.
