1969 Dodge Charger Painting
In 1979, WB changed car culture with The Dukes of Hazzard, introducing the world to a family of farmers and their then-considered beater car, a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 big block. While the car was joked to be ugly and a piece of junk, it was very much a star of the show. The car was named the General Lee, and was unbeaten by any other in races around the Georgia countryside.
This painting pays homage to a roughed-up Charger, just like the General Lee as it was discovered by the Duke Boys. The story is told in Season 7’s Happy Birthday, General Lee.
