1970 Coronet Marker Sketch

Car manufacturers of old, especially in the ’50s, favored design over business and function and took risks. The ’70 Coronet follows that tradition.  This grille layout was available only one year – the triangular grill is very aggressive and appropriate for a high horsepower muscle car of that era, and completely throws out the rules and all conservatism in design.
